Client records and case histories,
on a machine you control.
Private LLM hosting on a dedicated machine in EU-Central, for veterinary practices and clinic groups handling client contact data and animal health records.
Not veterinary, medical, or legal advice. This page describes GPUwerk's infrastructure and contractual commitments, not a clinical product. Whether a given use of client or patient data is lawful and appropriate for your practice is your own decision.
Why practices ask about this
A veterinary practice management system holds owner contact details, payment history, and case notes on every animal it treats. Staff drafting a discharge summary or a client email in a public AI tool puts that record on infrastructure the practice doesn't control.
"We don't know where a public tool sends our records"
The hardware behind a GPUwerk instance is physically in EU-Central, operated by PRINT IT! SE, a Societas Europaea registered in Prague. There is no US parent and no other region in the chain, which removes one of the harder international-transfer questions from the assessment.
"The provider trains on our data"
GPUwerk runs infrastructure, not models: client records processed on your dedicated machine are handled by software you installed, behind SSH keys only you hold. Under the data processing agreement, GPUwerk does not access your workspace's content except at your request for support or where a legal obligation requires it, so there is nothing for us to train on.
"Vets and techs already use consumer AI tools"
Staff drafting client letters or summarizing case notes in a public tool is a real exposure, not a hypothetical one. A sanctioned alternative on your own instance, same chat interface, keeps that workflow off third-party infrastructure. See the private ChatGPT setup →
What this is, and what it isn't
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Is this a diagnostic or clinical tool? | No. GPUwerk hosts general-purpose LLM infrastructure and holds no veterinary or medical device certification. Clinical decisions remain with your vets. |
| What is it used for in practice? | Note drafting, client correspondence, appointment summaries, and internal document search, run through software your practice installs on the instance. |
| Where is data physically processed? | EU-Central, on a dedicated single-tenant machine assigned to you |
| Who can access instance content? | Through the instance itself, only holders of your SSH keys; password login is disabled fleet-wide. GPUwerk keeps infrastructure administrator access, as on any hosted service, and does not use it on your content except at your request for support or where a legal obligation requires it. |
| Sub-processors for the workload? | None, listed at /legal/sub-processors |
| DPA (GDPR Art. 28)? | Published at /legal/dpa, no charge |
| Certifications held? | None claimed on this page or elsewhere on the site. Verify directly with us before relying on this page if your procurement requires one. |
Pricing
On-demand billing starts at $0.79/hour for a spark-1x instance and $1.79/hour for spark-2x. A held (reserved) allocation runs at 75% of the on-demand rate: $0.59/hour and $1.34/hour respectively. A single-site practice can typically run on spark-1x; a multi-clinic group serving several staff at once may prefer spark-2x. Full details on the pricing page.
Questions we get from veterinary practices
Does this meet GDPR requirements for client records?
GPUwerk provides infrastructure evidence relevant to that assessment: EU-Central hardware and operations, a dedicated single-tenant machine, an Article 28 DPA, and no sub-processors for instance content. Whether a specific use of client and patient data has a valid legal basis under GDPR is a decision for your practice as controller, not something GPUwerk's infrastructure can supply on its own.
Is this a clinical or diagnostic product?
No. GPUwerk hosts general-purpose LLM infrastructure. It is not a diagnostic tool and holds no veterinary or medical device certification. Practices that use it run their own software on the instance, typically for note-taking, client correspondence, or internal document search, not for clinical decision-making.
Do you sign a DPA for client and patient records?
Yes, a standard GDPR Article 28 DPA is published at /legal/dpa at no charge, and there are no sub-processors for instance workloads.
Can a small independent practice use this, or is it only for large groups?
Either. On-demand billing starts at $0.79/hour for a spark-1x instance with no minimum term, which is sized for a single-site practice as well as a multi-clinic group running larger models across multiple staff.
